El primer uso de la palabra es del s. XVI. Originalmente eran panecillos de avena a la plancha, del porte de un plato mediano, cortados en sectores. pero hay tambi\u00e9n variedades saladas, y su forma es variada: redonda, cuadrada, triangular, incluso hexagonal.<\/p>\n<p>Lo importante es que son f\u00e1ciles, r\u00e1pidos y pancitos\u00a0son parte del servicio cl\u00e1sico de t\u00e9 ingl\u00e9s. Usualmente se utilizan scones m\u00e1s bien peque\u00f1os y se sirven con <em>clotted cream<\/em> y mermelada, usualmente de frutilla.<\/p>\n<p>Se preparan de la siguiente manera:<\/p>\n<h2>Ingredientes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 14px;\">2 tazas de harina (320g)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>1\/4 taza de az\u00facar (60g)<\/li>\n<li>1 cucharadita de polvos de hornear (5g)<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 taza de mantequilla con sal (80g)<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 taza de leche tibia, cortada con un poco de jugo de lim\u00f3n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Procedimiento<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Mezclar todos los ingredientes secos.<\/li>\n<li>A\u00f1adir la mantequilla muy fr\u00eda y mezclar hasta que tenga consistencia grumosa.<\/li>\n<li>A\u00f1adir la leche y amasar hasta que se homogenice.<strong> Es importante no sobreamasar<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Estirar con un rodillo a 1,5cm de espesor, y doblar sobre s\u00ed misma dos veces<\/li>\n<li>Cortad con un cortapastas de 5cm de di\u00e1metro pasado por harina<\/li>\n<li>Opcionalmente pincelar con huevo<\/li>\n<li>Dejar enfriar al menos 5 minutos y comer, idealmente con mantequilla y mermelada, o lo que dicte el la imagen de arriba,\u00a0 podemos hacer los scones del tama\u00f1o que deseemos, pero como ya coment\u00e1bamos arriba, si los vamos a servir como parte de un <em>5 o&#8217;clock tea<\/em>, es recomendable que sean m\u00e1s bien peque\u00f1os y que les demos forma con un cortapastas, para una mejor presentaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8858\"
